Drowning accidents can occur anytime in places such as swimming pool, beaches,
canals, river and reservoirs which may not be patrolled by qualified lifeguards.
It is therefore to learn some rescue techniques not only to save lives of other
people but also your.
People Learning these lifesaving skills should be adequate swimmers and it is
desirable that they are competent in the swimming skills technique.

- to establish a basic level of proficiency in knowledge understanding and
practical ability for aquatic rescue situations

Pool Lifeguard
- To develop acceptable standards of knowledge, judgment, skills and physical
abilities for the supervision of people in swimming pools
Requirements
- 15 years or above.
- Able to swim 100
meters with any swimming strokes in 2.5 minutes
Note :
Certificates will be
issued to students upon passing their lifesaving award tests conducted by
the Singapore Life Saving Society examiners.
